Amazon.com Review
From lid to handle to base, each piece of Infinite Circulon cookware is geared for optimal performance in the kitchen--so home chefs can focus on the art of cooking, not the science. The hard-anodized aluminum bodies and stainless-steel bases with encapsulated aluminum cores offer the dual advantages of rapid, even heating and superior durability. Circulon's TOTAL nonstick system (rated the longest wearing by independent lab tests) features an all-over nonstick coating and a Hi-Low ring design that heats food over the entire cooking surface, but reduces abrasion by allowing only a portion of food and utensils to touch. Also, unlike most nonstick pans, Infinite goes right into the dishwasher so cleanup is a breeze.
This roomy 7-quart covered straining stockpot has high, straight sides and stay-cool loop handles made of cast stainless steel and riveted for extra strength. Nestling snugly onto the rim, the matching stainless-steel lid locks into place and features large and small holes on either side to drain off liquids. The deep charcoal grey and bright mirror-polish combination looks sleekly professional yet stylish enough to bring to the table for serving. The stockpot is oven-safe to 500 degrees F and can be used on all stovetops. Hard-anodized aluminum also doesn't chip, stain, or scratch, so the aptly named Infinite will keep its good looks for many years to come. It is backed with a limited lifetime warranty. --Kara Karll

Best pasta cooking pot I've ever owned!
I have two smaller Circulon straining pots, from the "Circulon 2" family. I use them every day, literally, but always have to be mindful of the lids as they do not properly lock. I discovered this the first day, when I dumped my spaghetti into the sink while attempting to strain it. After that, I wore an oven glove to hold the lid on (Circulon recommended not tipping that pot more than 45 degrees to strain, which was ridiculous - that seemed like an afterthought meant to cover their butts. That would've left half the water in the pot, which would have defeated the purpose of having a straining saucepan!).
With this pot, you don't have to do that. It locks the way it's supposed to. The pot feels sturdy enough, though I expected the lid to be "heavier". It doesn't need to be, though. It works beautifully the way it is and is not flimsy in any way.
The pot is a good size for family-sized pasta meals, and is so much easier to use and less awkward than pasta pots that come with the insert. And it's so much better than having a colander sit in the sink and dumping the whole pot into it, which allows the dirty water in the drain to back up into the sink and make contact with the pasta. Yuk.
This pot is also great for cooking quantities of sauce, too. The lid allows the steam to vent without splatter going everywhere.
I use this pot for much more than pasta and sauce, however.
It's great for cooking up a pot of soup in the winter, which is something I do a lot, or a pot of beans. And it's fantastic for making rice pudding on the stovetop because it's non-stick. You can use it for virtually anything. If you don't need venting for a particular dish, lay a piece of foil across the top before setting the lid on top.
I was so impressed with this pot, I bought one for each of my three daughters!
BEST POT U CAN BUY

Pots and Pans
I bought Circulon Infinite because I got a new stove with a glass top. These are excellent "pots & pans". You have to adjust your cooking because when the plate on the bottom gets hot, you can cut back on the stove heat. They are also one of the very few pots and pans that are dishwasher safe. I would buy this product again and recommend it.
